Galas is an avant-garde singer, composer, and visual artist. Her song "This is the Law of the Plague" was used in Wojnarowicz’s segment in Silence=Death, as well as in the Semiotext(e) edit of Wojnarowicz's Mexico footage (both of which are drawn from footage Wojnarowicz originally shot for A Fire in My Belly).
