Foos is an artist and graphic designer, and was formerly on staff as a Designer at Artforum.. She and Wojnarowicz were friends from the early 1980s until his death. Foos and her partner Dirk Rowntree participated in the Ward Line Pier Project. At Wojnarowicz's request, Foos designed the catalogue for his 1990 retrospective Tongues of Flame and Aperture's 1994 publication Brush Fires in the Social Landscape.
