McDonnell, Patrick

McDonnell was a graduate student in the Art Department at Illinois State University when Wojnarowicz travelled there to prepare for his retrospective Tongues of Flame. McDonnell worked at the University Art Galleries and acted as preparator for Wojnarowicz's exhibition. The two became close, with Wojnarowicz taking on a mentor role to the young artist.
