Kern, Richard
Kern is an filmmaker and photographer associated with the Cinema of Transgression movement who first met Wojnarowicz at the Peppermint Lounge through Tommy Turner. Wojnarowicz and Kern collaborated on a number of films such as You Killed Me First (1985) and “Stray Dogs” from The Manhattan Love Suicides (1985). The two were good friends, traveled together, and were briefly roommates in 1985.
