Bonk is a fashion designer, artist, musician, and politician who resides in Hawaii. She was a friend and artistic collaborator of Wojnarowicz. She was part of the "Wrecking Crew"--the group of artists who created collaborative painting shows at Ground Zero Gallery--and performed with Wojnarowicz as the Velvet Underground in Mike Bidlo's recreation of Warhol's Factory at PS 1 Center for Contemporary Art in 1984.
