Hair, Julie
Hair is a musician who played percussion in 3 Teens Kill 4. Wojnarowicz would frequently work in her apartment during this period, creating stenciled posters for their band. According to Fire in the Belly, it was while working with Hair that Wojnarowicz came up with the idea for many of the resonant graffiti symbols that he would use in his work from then on: the burning house, the falling man, the toy soldier, etc. Hair and Wojnarowicz also planned elaborate "action installations" together in the early 1980s, and she accompanied him on outings where he would stencil graffiti in the streets..
